Ten years from now my generation will be considered full-fledged adults, we will all be in our 20s and 30s. Any regular person would think that 30 year olds would be much more wise, they would be settled down, they would be productive and hard-working. I believe that this will be far from true for my generation once we reach that ten-year mark. Take a look at Gen Z now, what do you see? Laziness, vanity, incompetence, and meaninglessness have slowly spread throughout our generation like an infection. It is a very keen disease which infects us. At this very moment it is gently easing into the minds of everyone in this generation. Social media and the “education” system are some of the greatest spreaders of this pathogen.
Yet there is an amalgamation of events which has led us to this incredibly important turning point. If we continue on this course the ship will be run by psychotic, drug-addled, incompetent people who have no belief in the future. Ours is a culture of now, we want what we can get NOW, we want to know what we can do NOW. Gen Z was sheltered and kept inside in front of TVs (I’m starting to think that TVs really do melt your brain). We were all sent off to schools where we were taught nearly nothing truly important, we just had to sit and shut up for 6-7 hours just about every day. When social media came along all of us became hooked to it, and many have developed an addiction to it, especially since porn is easily accessible on the internet. The list of causations seems endless when you begin to ponder on it. The effects are yet to come.
Time is running out!
What can be done?
If you have children you must immediately remove them from school and begin to homeschool them. Yes it may inconvenience you in some way, but that is the very least of your worries. Schools have been designed to dumb-down children and sever the soul of genius within them. No one believes that children are meant to spend hours of the day sitting inside and yet we all usher them off to school over and over again. School is not only a place of intellectual stagnation (and eventual regression), it has now become a place of true hate. Children are told to hate one another, to hate their past, or hate themselves. By taking your kids out of school you’d not only be saving them, but you would gain back countless hours of time with them. I don’t know a single parent who wouldn’t want that.
Spend more time with your children and get them off of screens. Find family activities to do together, spend time outside, play games, read together. Anything you can think of which doesn’t involve screens will be good for your family. Don’t allow young kids any screen time, and actively encourage older kids to find something else to do.
Involve your kids in some type of work, even if it’s just yard work. There are many things which kids should be sheltered from, but work isn’t one of them.
Create a family coat of arms and a family moral code. Not only is it fun to design a coat of arms, but it becomes a symbol of your family and what you believe. However, before you create the coat of arms you must sit down as a family and actually figure out what you believe by drafting your family’s moral code.
With these 4 things I believe that the effects of vanity, meaninglessness, amorality, laziness, and incompetence will be drastically reduced. The future doesn’t look too bright at the moment and everyone can see that, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I realize now that this article became centered around parents and what they can do to stop this. Perhaps next time I will address the young men in my generation who feel that something is wrong and who wish for a better future.
Fantastic advice and tremendous awareness to understand how necessary (and urgent) it is.
