What I Did This Week (Week 74)

Writing to you from Uruguay.
Things are starting to pick up the pace with the new year and I’m slowing getting back into the groove of things. Although, it’s a different type of groove…more structured and purposeful.
As I said in the past few posts, much of what I did in between major events was purely out of some amount of curiosity.
The books I read, courses I took, and other extracurricular activities were not aimed at an intentional goal. However, that has changed.
I’m starting a brand new quarter with the start of this year (a quarter being a 3-month time period with a specific set of goals). My primary (or major) course/event for this quarter will be going to Chile in early February to complete a 16-day sailing course which, as I am told, will turn me into a competent crew member.
To make everything cohesive, the books I’m reading and courses I’ll be taking this quarter are all centered around sailing/maritime history/voyages.
