Ranch Work

There were a few big projects for the week.

We finally got a good amount of rain here this past Monday. It’s been very dry.

Honestly, we could use a whole lot more rain.

When we first moved to the ranch we had a couple wild thunderstorms. Rain would pour for several days.

As you can imagine, the pastures all had rich green color.

Learning something new

Besides the mower, we have a few other implements for the tractor. Including a road grader and a compactor.

Well, this week’s rain allowed for a good opportunity to use some equipment I have no experience with.

The roads were washed out and no longer had the U-shaped curve which allows water to drain on the sides of the road instead of running down the middle.
